Additionally they shared that they consider their daughter may’ve been “triggered” by a current e mail about dealing with disciplinary motion from Stanford College after “defending a teammate on campus over an incident.”

In a statement to E! News, Dee Mostofi, Assistant Vice President of Exterior Communications at Stanford College shared that “we’re not capable of share details about confidential scholar disciplinary issues.” 

“Our complete neighborhood is devastated by Katie’s demise, and we share our deepest condolences with Katie’s household and everybody who knew her at Stanford, throughout the nation and all over the world,” the assertion learn. “Katie touched so many lives.” 

It continued, “We as a college neighborhood proceed to grieve with Katie’s household and cherish our recollections of her.”
