HYVIA, the Renault Group and Plug Energy’s hydrogen (H2) mobility three way partnership, has inaugurated its plant at Refactory, Renault Group’s Flins, Ile-de-France manufacturing web site.

The plant will home gas cell module meeting and testing primarily based on Plug Energy’s know-how. The 30-kW gas cell will energy Renault Grasp H2-TECH portfolio (van, chassis cab and metropolis bus).

By 12 months’s finish, the plant may even start meeting of H2 refueling stations and the manufacturing of low-carbon hydrogen. A 1-MW electrolyzer will provide H2 to the plant for testing gas cells and H2 refueling stations. Engineers and operators on the Flins plant have accomplished specialty coaching in France and the US to assemble and check a gas cell.

HYVIA’s ambition is to achieve 30% of the European mild business automobile H2 market by 2030.

“Since its creation on June 3, 2021, HYVIA is shifting quick. Our plant represents a significant human, technological and industrial problem,” stated David Holderbach, HYVIA CEO.
