Chelsea Peretti Is a “First Time Female Director” on Her Latest Project

Chelsea Peretti is making her directorial debut with the cheekily-titled “First Time Feminine Director.” The “Brooklyn 9-9” alumna and two-time WGA nominee has wrapped manufacturing on the pic for Fox’s MarVista and Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions. Deadline broke the news.
Written by and starring Peretti, who can be among the many pic’s producers, “First Time Feminine Director” is about “at an area theater in Glendale, CA, the place a newly minted feminine director struggles to fill the sneakers of her male predecessor, placing her Southern rural drama in jeopardy.”
The movie’s supporting forged contains Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace”), Kate Berlant (“Would It Kill You to Chuckle?”), and Megan Stalter (“Hacks”).

Peretti acquired two WGA nods for her work on “Parks and Recreation” and a SAG nom for Excellent Efficiency by an Ensemble in a Comedy Sequence for “Brooklyn 9-9.” The “Large Mouth” actress launched a stand-up particular, “One of many Greats,” in 2014.
